Trust, honesty, sex, are all things that people suggest make for a happy marriage, opinion on the subject may be divided, however after much discussion we now have the answer thanks to Cotton USA.
The company carried out a poll in order to discover the best way to keep the happiness in a marriage alive and the results are in… sleeping in the nude is the answer.
1,004 people were questioned in the survey and 57 per cent of revealed that those who wore nothing in bed were happier in their relationships.
Research also found that out of the four-in-ten folk who admitted to sleeping naked, almost half of those are over the age 55.
Pyjamas polled in at 48 per cent with 43 per cent nightie wearers and 38 per cent opting for onesies.
The study also concluded that the bedroom manners directly affected the mood and happened of a relationship.
Half concluded that eating in bed is a major no-no. 59 per cent admitted they loathe dirty washing abandoned on the bedroom floor and almost a quarter dislike when their partner wears socks to bed.
Cotton USA spokesperson, Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe explained there are numerous factors that can lead to the demise of a relationship.
“One factor which is often overlooked is the bedroom environment.
‘Bedding can feel extremely soft against the skin, encouraging openness and intimacy between couples and ultimately increasing happiness”.
