Emma Krenzer created the painting for an art class at her university.
The simple yet stunning artwork highlights the impact of being touched.

Emma got her friend to pose for a photo and then used finger paint and handprints to illustrate where she has been touched and who by.
The guide on the right hand side indicates who the different colours represent.

For example, yellow is friends, orange is lovers and sadly, the red represents 'someone I told no'.

“I thought about what was true for myself, and also, what I perceived to be commonly true for people in general, when I mapped out these touches,” she told Buzzfeed.
The image garnered a lot of attention once Emma shared it on Twitter. Thousands of comments came in from people in awe of her artwork.
