With grand gestures and over-the-top flashmobs, men are under some serious pressure when it comes to proposing these days. However, the good news is that there is now an app on the market to help them when it comes to planning the big day.
Yes, believe it or not, Helzberg Diamonds have launched an iPhone app called the Proposal Pro. The app is designed to help clueless men “plan the perfect proposal from start to finish.” Nice one.
We imagine that getting down on one knee is a seriously daunting task, even if you’re 110 per cent sure that the object of your affections will say yes.
But this app aims to take the ‘fear’ out of proposing by giving him a series of logical steps that he needs to fulfill in order to complete his proposal.

Features on the app include some valuable advice about shopping for the perfect ring, how to find out what ring size his lady wears and a list of nearby romantic restaurants that would be suitable locations to pop the big question.
We can’t help but wonder though, will using an app to plan his proposal actually suck all/any creativity out of the special moment? And, if every man starts using this app for handiness sake, are we all going to be subjected to a series of copycat proposals?
