Stick A Pin In It: Bored? Feeling Blah? Maybe It’s Time You Tried Something New

Make 2013 the year that you cross something off your bucket list. Every week we'll be showing you activities that can add excitement and fun to your life.

Bucket lists: they’re something we all have. You know that long list of things that you’d absolutely love to try but never get around to because you don’t have the money or the energy?

Why not make 2013 the year that you finally get to cross something off that list? Trying something new can add a breath of fresh air to your life. It can help you to figure out the things you like, the things you don’t like and it can shake things up and add some excitement to your life.

This week we’re looking at scuba diving!

____________

Is 2013 the year you discover an entire new world underwater?

What?

If you thought that Scuba Diving was something that could only be done in hot climates, think again. Believe it or not, Ireland has a thriving Scuba Diving scene and there are classes all over the country where you can go to learn it.

Wether it’s for the thrill, the adventure or simply to satisfy your curiosity, Scuba Diving shows you the wilderness of the great deep. In fact, the underwater world has not been fully mapped yet, so it really is the last ‘great unknown’ left in the world.

Over the past few years, Ireland has become a pioneer in mapping undersea territories. If you want to catch a glimpse of the new world that lies under the waves, why not make 2013 the year you get your Scuba Diving qualification?

Where?

There are various Scuba Diving schools all over Ireland but if you’re looking for some awesome scenery above and below the waterline, why not head to Scubadive West?

Scubadive West is based in Connemara and is Ireland’s leading Professional Association of Diving Instructions dive school and Scuba Diving centre. It offers Scuba Diving qualification, test dives and snorkelling classes.

When?

Scubadive West is open all year round so you can try your hand at Scuba Diving whenever you want! For more details, it’s probably best to contact them directly and have a chat.

How much?

Prices vary depending on the type of dive you want to do. A full day dive will set you back €140, a half day dive will cost €89 and a full course of lessons costs €595.

How do I cross this off my list?
