With Valentine’s Day at our heels, the focus is well and truly on love and romance.
If the zodiac is anything to go by, our star signs may play a role in the outcome while on the quest for ‘the one’.
Celebrity psychic and astrologist Inbaal Honigman, on behalf of Jackpot City Casino, has revealed which signs are more likely to succeed in the game of love, and which ones are more likely to strike out.
Whether you believe in star signs or not, it’s all just a bit of fun!
1. Pisces
The luckiest and most romantic of star signs in the zodiac is Pisces, according to Inbaal.
“The most romantic sign of the zodiac, Pisceans can’t live without love. Sensitive and caring, those born under the sign of the Fish give a partner their all,” she explains.
“Pisces believe that love lasts a lifetime, so they feel devastated when a relationship ends.”
Inbaal adds that Pisceans are ‘non-judgemental’ which means they will give any prospective suitors a chance.
2. Cancer
Cancers are the second most lucky-in-love sign under the zodiac, which makes sense given their ‘family-minded’ traits, Inbaal says.
“Cancerians love to be in love, and love to be surrounded by their favourite people. Domestic and intuitive, those born under the sign of the crab feel happiest when they’re with loved ones and family.
“They need a partner who can accept daily meetings with parents and nieces, and hourly check-ins.”
3. Taurus
The bulls, despite their image of being stubborn, are high on the list of lucky lovers, and are the most ‘physically motivated’ of the signs.
“Taureans fall in love with the full experience of body and soul,” the celebrity astrologer explains.
“Powerful and physical, those born under the sign of the bull require a partner they can touch often and feel deeply.
“Taurus’ live life to the full and appreciate romantic experiences that leave them feeling satisfied.”
4. Scorpio
Scorpios may get a bad reputation, but at the heart of a Scorpion is a person who craves ‘human touch’, the psychic reveals.
This sign, she adds, is the most sensuous sign of the zodiac.
“Passionate and sensitive, those born under the sign of the scorpion like to take a walk on the wild side.
“Scorpio will hit the jackpot with a partner that’s as open minded as they are.”
5. Leo
The loud and proud Leo finds themselves the fifth luckiest star sign when it comes to love.
Inbaal says people born under the Leo zodiac don’t like to be alone, making relationship even more important to them than any other sign.
“Leos are a sign that loves to be adored. The Lion is the king of the jungle, and Leo will appreciate a lover who treats them like royalty,” she adds.
6. Capricorn
Capricorns find themselves the midway mark when it comes to fortune in love.
Labelling them the ‘wheeler-dealer’ of the star signs, Inbaal says Capricorns strive to be ‘power-couples’, as appearance is paramount to them.
“Capricorns need an impressive partner that looks good and sounds good.
“Focused and driven, those born under the sign of the sea-goat are always aiming towards a goal.
“A love story that enhances their lives is welcome, but they risk falling for someone who only looks the part.”
7. Virgo
Towards the other end of the list, Virgo lands in at number seven, mainly because they are considered the ‘most conventional’ of star signs in the zodiac.
Inbaal says Virogoans enjoy practicality over spontaneity when in a relationship.
“Sensible and pragmatic, those born under the sign of the virgin are sought-after partners,” she explain.
For this reason, Virgoans are more likely to gel with a partner who is similar to them.
“Virgos don’t cheat or lie, and will wash the big pots and hoover under the bed. Virgos prefer a predictable, intelligent, elegant partner, just like them.”
8. Sagittarius
Sagittarians, due to their adventurous sprit, find themselves ranking eighth as they are harder to pin down.
The celebrity astrologer describes them as the ‘party animal’ of the zodiac, who love experimentation.
“Hilarious and chaotic, those born under the sign of the Archer can be convinced to try anything once,” she says.
However, for the right kind of person, they’re willing to commit.
“For Sagittarius, there’s nothing more important than a lover who makes them laugh, and they fall in love through shared adventures.”
9. Aries
Next are the folk born under the Aries sign. They’re considered to be more on the unlucky side of love due to being the ‘most independent’ sign of the zodiac.
“Aries make for exciting partners, if you can catch them,” Inbaal says.
She adds that the sporty and outdoorsy Aries are normally happier single.
“[Aries] won’t be looking to fall in love. The fun-loving spirit of Aries creates unusual love stories filled with tales of the unexpected.”
10. Libra
Due to being harsh critics, Librans find themselves towards the bottom of the list.
While they are the ‘most balanced’ sign of the zodiac, and they suit being in love, they ‘judge harshly’ and have a strict criteria for a romantic partner.
“Graceful and attentive, those born under the sign of the Scales are known for their beauty and their skill in the kitchen, and are in-demand as partners.
“Libra judges harshly though, and they’d rather wait for someone perfect, which can take a long long time.”
11. Gemini
Geminis are the ‘most socialable’ sign under the zodiac, which is no surprise that they find love easily.
However, they find themselves in second to last because of they have so many suitors, they ‘don’t want to limit their chances’, so end up loving more than one person at a time.
“Geminis easily find love. Charming and magnetic, those born under the sign of the Twins have admirers flocking to get together with them,” she says.
“Geminis could end up dating multiple people at the same time. Gemini can be truly in love with more than one person at once.”
12. Aquarius
Aquarius’ find them bottom of the list of lucky lovers as they get bored easily, according to Inbaal.
This makes sense given that they are the ‘intellectuals of the zodiac’ and their minds need constant stimulating.
“Faithful and loyal, those born under the sign of the Water-bearer love the mind but can appear a little aloof in person.
“Shared values with a lover are important to an Aquarius, whereas height or eye colour are secondary,” she adds.
For this reason, they may be longer waiting in the hopes of finding ‘the one’.
“They can spend decades waiting for that person with perfect compatibility,” Inbaal explains.
