Stand or Sit? That is Now the Question

Research has found that by reducing the amount of time you spend sitting down during the day you could be increasing your lifespan.

The next time you sit down to watch your favourite programme, wait a moment and think about this new piece of research…

If you cut your sitting down time to under three hours a day you could potentially extend your life by two years.

Moreover if you watch less than two hours of television a day you could increase your lifespan by a year according to reports in the media this morning.

Although the research is new the knowledge that prolonged periods of sitting are linked to poor health is not.

While these new findings are subject to other lifestyle choices, which impact upon health, and thus are by no means conclusive it is something to keep in mind.

Anyone fancy walking home rather than getting the bus later?
