It’s the one day of the year that everyone is allowed to play (and fall fool to) a few practical jokes, massive world-known brands included.
So here’s the heads-up on some that a number of witty internet users have already called “April Fool!” on…
Google have gone to the massive effort of tricking their users with a brand new feature to the search engine.
It’s Google Nose… it allows users to search the Aromabase of more than 15 million Scentibytes to catch a whiff of everything fom garlic breath to mouth-watering homebaking. After you search the aroma, you can then lean in towards your computer screen and inhale the smell.
Or can you?
Google reveal Google Nose…
YouTube didn’t fall behind on the fooling action either. They released a video claiming they were closing the video-sharing site at midnight to give themselves ten years to find the best ever video and relaunch the site again in 2023.
The clip includes comments from the site’s biggest viral stars like the dazed boy who asked “Is this real life?” from the backseat of the car after a dentist’s appointment.
In Google Maps, you can now click the treasure hunt mode, the site apparently found scrolls at the bottom of the ocean belonging to Captain Kidd with directions to finding his stash of gold. Go, go, go!
And micro-blogging social network Twitter wasn’t going to fall behind on the fooling action. They have reportedly become Twttr today as the site started charging for the use of vowels. If you want to avail of your a,e,i,o and u’s, you’ll have to sign up to the site for five US dollars a month!
It’s time to get fooling…
Let us know if you come across anything else today… We could fall fool to it ourselves!
