Special Delivery! Woman Gives Birth Just One Hour After Finding Out She’s Pregnant

Prepare to second guess every cramp after reading this story. One woman discovered she was pregnant Wednesday morning after suffering with severe abdominal pain. One hour later she gave birth to her first daughter. Judy Brown was in excruciating pain on Wednesday morning. Convinced she had a gall stone, Brown headed to the hospital for an examination – only to hear she was pregnant. Doctors told the 47-year old she was expecting her first child, and an hour later a healthy baby girl  Carolyn Rose was born. Despite being nine months pregnant, and delivering a baby at 8 pounds 2 ounces, Brown insists she had no idea she was pregnant. Judy revealed she never suffered from morning sickness, and attributed her weight gain to getting older. According to Mashable, the news she was pregnant was a complete surprise to Judy: “After being married for 22 years, it wasn’t really coming up being pregnant. It was not really there in my mind.” Gesci, a paediatrician at the hospital, confirmed that although it’s rare, it is possible for a woman not to know she’s pregnant: “People don’t know sometimes or they’re in denial about it and denial can be pretty strong,” Gesci said. Judy and her husband Jason told media they had to borrow a bassinet and car seat to leave the hospital. Well, they do say the best surprises come in small packages.
