It’s safe to say, yesterday is one of the most exciting dates in the calendar for any child.
Unfortunately, for some of Santa’s little scribblers, they couldn’t make it home to share this year’s memories with their mams and dads, having to stay on the wards in Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
It’s never going to be easy to miss out on a family Christmas in your own home, but we imagine a visit from some of these famous faces would definitely have helped.
Stopping off with the Sam Maguire cup (filled with chocolate goodies for all) were Dublin GAA favourites Paul Flynn and Bernard Brogan…
Myself and @Flinto23 came bearing gifts to @Temple_Street this morning! Great to meet all the kids! Happy Chrimbo! pic.twitter.com/LSBlkA1xET

We can only imagine how excited mini music fans were when Danny O’Donoghue from The Script decided to stop by too, meeting some of his youngest fans alongside Lord Mayor of Dublin Críona Ní Dhálaigh.
Between a visit from these famous faces, and Santa’s stopover, Christmas in Temple Street might not have been too bad for some families yesterday morning!
