It is June 1st right?!
With the Leaving and Junior Certificate exams kicking off this week, you would be forgiven for thinking you would spend your days basking in sunshine.
However, you may need to change your plans if the current weather forecast is anything to go by.
Met Éireann has issued a number of weather warnings for today, with winds of up to 115km per hour expected in some parts of the country.
The national forecaster has issued a status orange weather warning for severe winds for Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, Wexford and Meath until 8pm tonight.
Meanwhile, Munster, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Carlow, Kilkenny, Kildare, Offaly, Westmeath, Laois and Longford (so practically the rest of the country) have been issued with a status yellow warning.
Munster, Connacht and Donegal have also been told to expect heavy rainfall throughout the day, with 40mm predicted for some parts.
And here we thought June 1st was supposed to bring good weather…
Time to batten down the hatches guys!
