Sinead O’Connor will reportedly sing Conor McGregor into the ring when he goes head-to-head with American featherweight Chad Mendes.
The singer announced the news on Facebook, telling fans that she had been approved for a visa to fly to Vegas and sing to the UFC fighter.
Later on in the comments section of the post, she revealed to a fan that she will perform The Foggy Dew, a song that was originally written as a tribute to those who had died in the Easter Rising in 1916.
The hugely anticipated fight will take place on July 11th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas.
Irish star McGregor will now face Mendes after original opponent Jose Aldo pulled out.
The Notorious’s trademark entrance theme is O’Connor’s version of The Foggy Dew which fades into Hypnotize by Biggie Smalls.
