A KFC employee in Tennessee, USA started making out with a tub of mashed potatoes moulded into the shape of a boob. She took a few snaps of herself being bold and posted them online.
Big mistake.
The photos were investigated and it was soon determined that she was snapped at the KFC in Johnson City. An email was sent to the company’s corporate headquarters to find out what was being done to ensure food safety at that particular location.
A KFC spokesman responded by saying that the employee in question was fired as soon as the photos were brought to the attention of the franchise.
The worker who took the photos was also fired.
According to the spokesman, the incident took place “after the restaurant was closed and none of the food was served.”
But the photo was being commented on by some very eagle-eyed social media users, who made the point that the employee was wearing her drive-thru headset. Would she have removed it if the restaurant was closed?
Regardless of the truth, the spokesman told the Johnson City Press that operations and quality assurance teams had been dispatched to the restaurant by corporate “to reinforce and retrain on KFC’s high operating standards.”
