A sex toy company has come under fire for using a body shaming meme to promote their latest product over their social media accounts.
Whizworx were promoting a masturbation sleeve ‘Fifi’ when they decided to go with a cruel and unnecessary image of a woman accompanied by a series of degrading captions.

According to the DailyDot, the images (which have since been now deleted), show a woman in her underwear and fishnets with captions such as: “Make the right decision. The walk of shame will be a lot shorter”, “Regret that last drink yet?” and “Trust me, you’ll thank us in the morning.” The image was screengrabbed though – and Twitter users voiced their disgust at the marketing strategy of exploiting one woman’s appearance for the sake of a cheap ‘laugh’:
Glad to see .@Getfifi removed the offensive #fat tweets, but are yet to address the #bodyshaming issue. #DontGetFifi pic.twitter.com/DROvK2J6fG

I wanted a fifi, but not now. So now I will buy a cheap pair of hiking socks, and a pack of #magnum condoms. #DONTgetfifi @Getfifi

The post has since been removed.
We’re not sure if people were more offended by the image, the messages, or the insulting impression of men.
Marketing FAIL.
