Seven Reasons You Should Stay At… The Westbury Hotel In Dublin

Fancy an Easter break? We’ve got the perfect place!

Rebecca McKnight

This week, we had the pleasure of staying overnight at The Westbury Hotel in Dublin and let’s just say, we really didn’t want to leave.

From outstanding service to a luxurious setting, there are more than a few reasons to stay in this five-star establishment.

1. Perfect Location
Situated just off Grafton Street, you have plenty of shops (including one of our favourite places in the world, Brown Thomas), restaurants and nightclubs right on your doorstep. You are also a stone’s throw away from St Stephen’s Green and The Gaiety Theatre.

2. Luxurious Setting
The Westbury is a five-star hotel that oozes elegance and luxury without sacrificing the relaxation element of a weekend away. It manages to successfully combine the modernity of The Marble Bar with a more traditional feel in the Gallery Lounge (we just couldn’t decide which one we preferred).

3. Their Chocolate Alexander Cocktail
This is the hotel’s Easter-themed cocktail and it is delicious! (In fact, it could be THE best cocktail in the world ever.) The relaxing yet atmospheric Marble Bar provides an ideal setting for a pre or post-dinner cocktail (or three).

4. Wilde – The Restaurant
From fillet steaks (which were cooked to perfection) to tempura of cod to chicken Caesar salad, this tantalising menu caters for every need. The restaurant also boasts an impressive and extensive wine list (always a plus!) to be enjoyed in the relaxing yet intimate setting.

5. Outstanding Service
You will not get better service anywhere. From the minute you check-in to the moment you leave, the staff are attentive, friendly and accommodating without being overbearing. There is also valet parking and 24-hour room service.

6. The Rooms
The rooms have everything you need including complimentary wi-fi, a safe and mini bar. Apart from the practical things, they are nicely decorated with some offering a beautiful view of the city. The furnishings are practical and comfortable (slept like a baby) which is exactly what you want during a short stay.

7. Breakfast
As well as a continental breakfast which consists of everything from fruit salads to muffins, there is also a comprehensive warm breakfast menu which includes a full Irish breakfast and waffles with maple syrup (which are delightful).
