There are plenty of reasons, but here are seven really good ones...

The MS READaTHON is Ireland’s largest and longest-running sponsored read for young people. The next event takes place from October 11th to November 11th for this year and MS READaTHON are looking for your involvement. Here are seven reasons to get involved with the campaign.

1. Encourage kids to get lost in other wonderful worlds found in books.

With this encourgament, there will be more reading in both the classroom and at home!

2. Learning the importance of their actions.

Children will learn the importance and value of small actions, and most importantly, how they can learn to help others. Funds raised through the MS READaTHON have will help make a huge impact on the lives of others.

3. Schools can keep 10% of the funds.

The schools who raise funds for the MS READaTHON can keep 10% of the funds raised to kit out their school library!

4. Those involved will learn about MS.

Children and teachers will learn about MS and how it affects communities throughout Ireland. This can also be effectively incorporated into classroom time for teachers during the month of MS READaTHON.

5. Encouraging students to get others involved.

Once students will see the benefits of being involved in the MS READaTHON campaign, they will encourage others to get involved in the future. More readers, more children and teenagers involved.

6. Parents will love seeing their kids involved!

What parent will not be excited about their kids being involved in a campaign that will help others and encourage them to read?

7. Writing Competitions

There are loads of writing competitions to get involved in so students can create their own content. There is even a competition called Heroes and Villains which is for creating your own comic book!
