It may only be 17 sleeps until Christmas Day but in Dublin city, things are getting a little spooky. What do we mean? Well, for the first time in its history, Dublin Castle will be at the centre of a ghost hunt!
The Irish Daily Star reports that the Office of Public Works has given the green light to a team of ghost hunters who want to conduct an investigation at the famous castle.
Apparently, the castle is said to be absolutely packed with visitors of the supernatural variety and members of Irish Ghost Hunters are keen to get inside, have a snoop and hopefully catch some of these paranormal people on camera.
Dublin Castle is said to be chocked-full of ghostly visitors…
“We’re very excited about this because no team has ever been allowed in Dublin Castle before,” said Tim Kelly, the man who runs the Dublin-based paranormal investigation group.
Mr Kelly has previously managed to capture evidence of scary supernatural activity from haunted places in Ireland, like Wicklow Gaol, Kinnitty Castle and Leap Castle.
However, Mr Kelly has said he is convinced that Dublin Castle will blow them all away in terms of spirit activity and has even ordered some extra cutting-edge poltergeist-detecting equipment.
“So much history has taken place there that I have a strong feeling this will turn out to be the most haunted building we have visited,” he added.
Spooky or what? We wonder if the ghost hunters will manage to catch anything on camera. We’re getting shivers just thinking about it!
