Salon Owner Arrested For Banning Muslims From Her Business Premises

A British salon owner has been arrested after posting ‘racially abusive’ messages on Facebook.

April Major is owner of the Blinks of Bicester in Oxfordshire, making the ‘racist remarks’ following the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday – banning Muslims from entering her salon.

Posting to her business’ official Facebook account, April wrote:

‘Blinks of Bicester are no longer taking bookings from anyone from the Islamic faith whether you are UK granted with passport or not.

‘Sorry but time to put my country first’.

The beautician’s post, which has since been deleted, received backlash from users who branded her ‘ignorant’, ‘insensitive’ and ‘racist’.

According to Metro UK, Major tried to defend her post responding:

“Those that want to call me a racialist, think on.

“My life is with ragga and patowoire language with Trinidad.”

According to the site, Major’s post which has since been deleted included several comments such as:

‘Can put fake lashes on ignorance but you can’t educate it. You’ve a LOT to learn…racist and ignorant’ while others branded her attitude and brand as a ‘disgusting owner and a disgusting business’.

The local Thames Valley Police arrested Major on Monday after they reportedly received several complaints about the Facebook post. In a statement released on their official Facebook page, the Thames Valley Police added:

Major has since been released on bail but will appear in court on November 30th.
