Ryanair and Aer Lingus to up checked baggage fees from today

Great news altogether.

Don’t you just love hearing about price increases on a Wednesday morning, particularly when your holidays are coming up.

Aer Lingus and Ryanair have announced plans to increase prices for checked baggage on flights and guess what, it comes into operation today.

Spotted on JOE.ie, Aer Lingus will now charge €35 instead of €20 for checked luggage weighing 20kg while Ryanair will increase the price from €25 to €40.

For 15kg, Aer Lingus have increased prices from €15 to €25 and Ryanair will now charge €30 instead of €20 for baggage weighing in at 15kg.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news…
