We like to think that we’re a dab hand at finding the Emerald Isle on a globe but it turns out that Met Éireann don’t have that much faith in us.
Viewers of today’s weather update on RTÉ didn’t need to worry too much if they didn’t know Mayo from Malta as the national forecaster added a large arrow and spelled out Ireland in bright green letters, just to avoid any confusion.
In fairness, we’re a small nation – it would be easy to miss us!
