Ronaldo shows serious class with this gesture for fan (and Portugal end up getting fined for it)

Say what you want about Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch but he's a class act when it comes to making time for dedicated football fans off field. After missing a penalty yesterday, which saw Portugal draw 0 - 0 with Austria and in turn place his team on the brink of elimination as they face Hungary, Ronaldo put aside his personal disappointment to make one fan's dream come true. As the soccer ace made his way towards the changing rooms, a pitch invader legged it across the field and got in touching reach of him before security intervened. Ronaldo stopped, assured security it was okay and patiently waited as the supporter nervously fumbled with his phone. What a lovely moment. However, today, Uefa issued a fine to Portugal of €5,000 as the supporter bolted from their section of the ground to reach Ronaldo. As our brothers over in SportsJOE so eloquently put it:

'For one man, a night to forget. For the other, a picture to remember'.
