Rip-Off Roaming Rates Reduced Just In Time For Summer Trips Abroad

Being a top mark tourist has never been cheaper.

Using your phone abroad has been an expensive business for quite some time but as of July 1st, EU roaming charges will be slashed. The European Commission have been working on reducing roaming charges and using your mobile abroad is now 80% cheaper than in 2007.

Making calls from EU countries will be decreased by 17% while receiving calls will be 12% lower. Standard text message rates will drop by 11%. The new roaming charges will introduce a price cap on data downloads… so being a top mark tourist has never been easier.

With an increased access to maps, you’ve absolutely no excuse not to visit all of the attractions (and checking-in regularly on Facebook to make all those at home green with envy).

No more uploading images when you’re back on home soil, with these new reduced rates you can share and filter pictures on instagram of the Colosseum or Eiffel Tower as you visit.

Further reductions are promised for next July. You’re too good to us folks.
