So what’s the type of sex that 87 per cent of women prefer?

It’s sex with trust.

A new survey has revealed what most people already know, women (and men) still value an emotional connection when it comes to their sex lives.

The survey, carried out by Durex, questioned 2,000 men and women over the age of 25 about their sex lives. It found that 87 per cent of women reported their “hottest sex ever” was with somebody they trusted and had a relationship with, Glamour report.

A massive 95 per cent of men also agreed that an emotional connection makes a sexual experience more satisfying.

Interestingly, both genders said they cared more about satisfying their partners than themselves.

The majority surveyed said they were more concerned about satisfying their partners than themselves.

The Huffington Post quotes journalist Hanna Rosin’s book The End Of Men as she argues that the early 20s hook-up culture actually benefits women in the long run and doesn’t affect them finding a long-term, emotionally satisfying relationship later on.

“Ultimately, the desire for a deeper human connection always wins out, for both men and women,” she wrote.

“Their hookup years are likely to end up as a series of photographs, buried somewhere on their Facebook page, that they do or don’t share with their husband, a memory that they recall fondly or sourly, but that hardly defines them.”
