Ladies, we can’t deny it any longer: the festive season is well and truly upon us. Is it just us or do people seem to be getting ready for the big day slightly earlier than usual this year?
We’re only asking because it seems as though the Grinch is out and about trying to get his Christmas shopping done already. Oh and he’s after stealing 350 Christmas trees too.
Yes, the Huffington Post is reporting that 350 Christmas trees have gone missing in New York leading to speculation that there is an anti-Xmas fiend a foot in the city that never sleeps.
A more logical explanation however is that the trees were taken by accident after someone tried to steal a trailer. Confused? Yes, we were too but allow us to explain…
The Grinch seems to be out and about super-early this year, wha?
The crime occurred yesterday when a person nicked a 28-foot trailer that was stuffed to the brim with Christmas trees that were on their way to be sold. The trees were worth an eye-watering $12,000 (or €9,500) so you can imagine that there are a lot of people out there looking for them.
Strangely enough the huge trailer and the trees have yet to resurface, leaving authorities in the area slightly confused.
All the police have to go on is a witness who reported that he saw a ‘suspicious’ grey pickup truck floating around the trailer a few moments before the crime was committed.
We don’t know about you but we would personally freak out if anyone tried to steal our Christmas tree. We’re all about the festive spirit here at Her.ie headquarters…
