As the price of property soars ever skywards, many young families are on the lookout for an affordable home. Provided you’re an open-minded sort, it doesn’t get much more affordable than this.
A Kildare-based seller is advertising a three-bedroom flat-pack wooden house for the grand sum of €22, 500 – less than the average mortgage holder pays for their deposit.
The timber house is in the process of being dismantled and will need to be transported and reassembled by its new owner, but if you’re in possession of a site to put it on, it could present a savvy opportunity to own a home without a 35-year relationship with the banks.
The ad, posted by user ‘Phil’ on DoneDeal.ie, reads:
“Selling my 3 bedroom cladding timber house with open plan kitchen and living room, 3 bedrooms, bathroom, utility room and walk in hot-press everything is included in the price. Fitted kitchen with sink and taps. Full bathroom suit toilet, sink, bath and electric shower. Fully wired first fixed all wiring and second fixed all sockets, lights, switch board, smoke det etc. Fully plumbed first fixed all pipping and second fixed all radiators, cylinder, oil tank, burner etc. Fully insulated all ceilings, walls and floors.”
The seller is ‘open to reasonable offers’ so get in quick if you think this could be the home for you.
