Remember Little Safyre Terry?! Katy Perry Gave Her An Amazing Christmas Surprise

Earlier this month, we shared little Safyre Terry's Christmas request with you. The eight-year-old, who lost her entire family in a tragic fire which left her with horrific burns all over her body, requested that people send her Christmas cards so that she could fill her tree with happy messages. She also asked Katy Perry, to send her a card - adding that she had saved the top of her tree in the hopes that she would receive one from her idol. Katy sent a card and a care package to Safyre.  The Teenage Dream singer sent a handwritten Christmas to Safyre, but also sent a festive care package including a hoodie with ears, a backpack, a DVD of Perry’s Prismatic tour, a DVD of her film Part of Me, an iPhone 6 case and a black kitty cat purse.

Katy's note said: "Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me! "I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas Day. Special girl."

In total, Safyre received more than 500,000 cards and 10,000 care packages, including cards from Beyonce and President Barack Obama.
