Records show that staff at the Oireachtas have been accessing sex pages, dating sites and betting sites on the Dáil PCs.

Ksexdolls.com, hotornot.com and factsandchicks.com are just some of the 2,280 ‘inappropriate’ sites accessed on Oireachtas PCs by civil servants in the last four months.

A Freedom of Information request provided to the Sunday Independent revealed that dating sites Elitesingles and partyline.ie have been accessed by staff, with access to gaydar.com blocked by computers as it was deemed “pornographic.”

Also popular are betting sites including Paddy Power, William Hill, Sky Bet, Betfair, 888 Poker, Casino.com and Ladbrokes.

A spokesperson for the Houses of the Oireachtas emphasised that staff were forbidden from looking at pornographic images, nudity and adult material on their computers and that some of these site visits may have been accidental due to pop-ups and auto-refresh.

She also noted that staff found to have attempted to access forbidden sites would be subject to relevant disciplinary action.
