Real-Life Cute Old Couple Recreate ‘Up’ Opening

There's something in my eye.

Remember the adorable couple from the opening sequence of ‘Up’?

Of course you do, they’re ingrained in your heart and mind.

The montage tells the story of their beautiful life together but ends in an utterly heart-wrenching manner.

Now a real-life couple have recreated the opening sequence in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

This couple are the grandparents of pianist Jason Lyle Black – a YouTuber with over seven million views to his credit. Black wrote the arrangement for his grandparents, and the video was filmed with Celadora Studios. Grandpa and Grandma have played piano duets since they were first married.

“My grandparents were very excited to be part of this video,” Black said. “It was so fun to work with them on it. I’ve loved their piano duets ever since I was a little kid, so this will be a family treasure for all of us.”

The video features Up iconic moments including the tennis-ball cane, the “Adventure Book,” and even a “Squirrel!” reaction from the family dog.

Most of all, the feeling of loyalty between Grandpa and Grandma is evident throughout the entire video. Black makes a brief cameo in the end of the video, clad in a “Wilderness Explorer” uniform, like wee Russell.
