‘Rave F*cked Me Up #rumnbass Want Ma Finger Back’ – Teen Posts Snap of Hand After He Severs Finger At Rave

A teenage raver lost a finger at an illegal rave, but decided to carry on dancing after paying £10 admission. The 16-year old posted a snap of the hand, minus the pinkie, to his Instagram account after he attended a party at a disused Royal Mail sorting office in Croydon on Sunday. The teen told Vice how the the accident occurred, saying: “At about 1am… I was waiting for the drum ‘n’ bass to kick in. Five minutes in, the fire alarm started going off and everyone was like ‘Rip it off! Rip it off!’ So I thought I’d give it a go. “I was completely sober at the time. I jumped up, grabbed it and my little finger got caught in the case because it was all broken, and as soon as I came to rip it back down, my little finger got ripped off completely.” The boy, who only identified himself as Josh to the Vice website, wrapped his injured hand in his t-shirt and carried on dancing, explaining: “My mentality was, ‘I’ve only been here for an hour, I’ve paid £10 for this night, I’ve lost my little finger – am I seriously going to go? Nah, I’m going to skank until I can’t skank any more’.” When Josh finally did make it to the hospital, he took the opportunity to post the snap of his bandaged hand, with the caption: ‘Rave f*cked me up #rumnbass want ma finger back… #sh*t #happens’ Image via Huffington Post Josh later went on to say he believes his little finger was found by party-goers, and used for a game of catch amongst a group of them. The teen had acid treatment to the wound and was unable to have his finger re-attached.
