Organising a fundraiser can be a lot of work but that doesn’t mean it has to be stressful.
From rounding up ideas, to forming a committee to making sure that all goes well on the day, there’s no need to fear: We have a great guide for you.
In our final part of our fundraising guide we’re looking at getting ready for the big day and the day itself.
With all of your brainstorming complete and a date for your day set in motion. All that’s left to do is to make sure that the day runs as smoothly as possible.
If you’re feeling anxious about the day, ask that you and your committee meet in the few days coming up to the event. That way if someone is unsure of what needs to be done you can get it sorted without being stressed.
Make sure that everyone is comfortable with what they’re doing, especially the people or person you’ve left in charge of gathering the funds – a person who’s good with numbers can be of great help!
Don’t forget to create a Facebook event page or gave a Twitter account. In the age of social media, information can be passed on much more quickly through the social networks. With a Facebook page you’ll be able to keep people up-to-date with the event plans.
Don’t be afraid to ask friends and family for support. It’s more than likely that they’ve been involved with a charity event so hopefully they’ll be able to lend a hand on the day.
Have a back-up plan, if it’s raining and you were planning to be outdoors perhaps stay near a venue where you can relocate with minimum fuss. Make sure if you change venues to update your even page on Facebook or to tweet out the details.
Remember to have someone keep an eye on the money box or wherever you’re keeping track of funds at all times – better to be safe.
With the help of a good team no doubt your day will be a success. Always plan ahead.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels in all of Ireland and you need to visit this summer
This is one of the most beautiful hotels in the country There’s no denying that Ireland is one of the most beautiful places in the world, even more so during the summer months. I’m hoping to spend more time in Ireland this summer rather than heading abroad, and there’s one hotel I’m itching to visit […]

‘I’m a 35-year-old in HR, earning €26k, and this was my biggest financial mistake’
I’m a 35-year-old in HR, earning €26k, and this was my biggest financial mistake Let’s be honest, most of us are at least a little bit nosy when it comes to money. We want to know what other people are earning, how they’re actually getting by, and what their spending really looks like (not the […]
