The panic the night before an exam is unlike anything else.
It’s as if you’ve just suddenly remembered you are in college and have to catch up on an entire semester with sporadic notes and caseloads of Red Bull. All night-ers are done, espressos are swallowed and highlighters are outlining ‘important lines’ that you’ll never remember.
Puppies galore
A university in Canada has recognised all the stress that comes with exam preparation and have installed a room where students can’t help but leave their worries at the door.
They’ve filled a room with puppies!
The Halifax University will debut their new puppy room on December 4th, 5th and 6th to help students cope with the stress of exams and end-of-semester assignments.

Naturally, the idea has received a positive reception from the caffeine-high anxiety-ridden students.
“My major paper is due at 4pm on the 4th… I will beeline it to the Puppy Room,” wrote Dal student Jimmy Tennant.
“Thank You Universe… Everything is going to officially be okay,” said student George Woodhouse.

According to The Huffington Post, Lindsay Dowling, the student’s union’s communication manager said that the interest in the room has been phenomenal.
“I’ll be taking part. The joke around here is that it’ll be taking place in my office,” she quipped.
University of Ottawa student Audrey Giles said: “Just petting a dog will decrease your blood pressure and relieve anxiety. You can be affectionate with them and they’ll be affectionate back. They love attention,” she said.
