Pringles Launch A New Range Of Scented Candles (Not A Drill)

Oh no. No no no.

Ellen Tannam

At Christmas time a lot of people buy festive candles for their homes, with scents like cinnamon, cloves and vanilla creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.

Apparently Pringles have seen a gap in the market for savoury scented candles and have created three bizarre flavours including Cheesy Cheese, Texas BBQ Sauce and Festive Pigs In Blankets.

The test run of 500 candles will be mailed out to individuals to use, with a wider release set for next year if it somehow takes off.

The Pringles Pigs In Blankets Scented Candle, one in a range of three Pringles Candles - Cheesy Cheese, Texas BBQ and Pigs in Blankets – created this Christmas. The candles boast the same savoury scents as the delicious Pringles flavours they’re modelled on. This year the launch of Pigs in Blankets Pringles caused a social media sensation, so Pringles created this candle so the smell of the nation’s favourite Christmas food could waft through the house. A spokesperson for the company said: “The Pringles Candle is a great stocking filler: if the supermarket runs out of pigs in blankets on your Christmas dinner shop, you could simply light a Pringles pigs In blankets candle on December 25 and have the same meaty odour waft through the house.”

This is slightly horrifying, even if it does turn out to be a massive marketing stunt.
