Power Restored To Many, But Over 5,000 Homes Are Still In The Dark

Emergency crews have been out since first light.

ESB repair crews across the country are still working hard to restore electricity to around 5,000 Irish customers.

Over 70,000 homes lost power in recent days, due to savage storms creating havoc and damaging power lines.

The ESB said this morning that teams were out ‘at first light’ to work on the remaining faults. This comes after power was restored to over 65,000 customers yesterday.

People are being advised to check the ESB website here to make sure faults in their area are logged.
