There were some pretty epic celebrations after the game.
History was made in Croke Park on Sunday, when Westmeath overcame long-time nemesis Meath in the Leinster semi-final after what has been dubbed by many as the comeback of the decade.
There were enormous celebrations across the county as Westmeath celebrated the win, but one of our favourite celebrations of them all has to be from Westmeath journalist and author, Gerry Buckley.

Gerry was caught on camera mid celebration in the press box at Croke Park yesterday and we’ve got to say, that is one happy, happy man.
Between this and the video of one Westmeath father celebrating the win in his kitchen, it looks like we’ve found the two happiest men in the county.
We can’t say we blame them though, as the maroon and whites have certainly been waiting long enough for that memorable victory.
