He definitely didn’t hold back!
One woman from Dublin got a bit of a land this week when she visited a store in New Zealand.
Laura Campbell, who has been living over there for a number of years, headed into the shop in Christchurch to purchase an item that her friend had also bought earlier that day.
Her friend had managed to get free delivery from the shop, but when Laura asked for the same, it all got a bit tricky.
“Basically, a staff member in their store waived the delivery fee for my friend yesterday morning as it was being delivered to the store,” Laura explained to Her.ie.
“I went in three hours later to buy the exact same item, but the guy serving me said that he couldn’t waive the delivery fee and that I could either pay it off or not buy it then.
“Delivery is an extra $25 on top of the $199 I was already paying, so I told him that maybe some consistency might be needed when deciding who to waive delivery fee for.”
“Off he went to speak to the manager, and when he came back, he told me that someone had screwed up when they waived it for my friend – that it shouldn’t have happened.
“Then he obviously had to type in a reason for waiving the fee for me and instead of writing ‘store error’ or something along those lines, he typed in exactly what you see on my receipt [below].”
“It’s shocking, but at the same time hilarious. What was he thinking typing that?!
“I can have a good laugh but seriously, that’s the wrong place to be sharing his opinion!” she added.
Take a look…
