PICTURE: Irish Fan Carves Paul O’Connell’s Face Onto A Pumpkin And It’s Fantastic

Brilliant, just brilliant! From Minions to Marty Morrissey, it’s been an excellent week for creative pumpkin carvings, but this one might be our favourite yet (sorry Marty). Legendary Irish rugby star Paul O’Connell has had tributes flooding in for him since he had to bow out of Ireland's Rugby World Cup campaign prematurely following an injury sustained during Ireland’s clash with France. However, Irish fan Shane Kenny - who is also Escort of the Year for the Rose of Tralee - certainly wasn't going to be forget the Irish hero this Halloween, and decided to pay tribute to the O'Connell legend in style. He took it upon himself to carve out Paul O’Connell’s face on a pumpkin, and we think he did a pretty fantastic job. Sending the snap into the lads at JOE.ie, Shane based his carving on the picture below of the Irish hero, and we think he did a terrific job.
