We all know the best teachers we have ever had are the ones who are passionate about what they do.
For those who volunteer their time, skills and friendship to mentor or coach kids, it really is a sign of commitment when you give up your precious weekend hours to help out at the local sports club.
For one mentor in Ballyteague Gaelic Football Club, some high praise was handed to them in a form of a thank you note yesterday evening.
Irene Heavey sent us in a snap of a note one of the male mentors at the club received from one of his underage players last night.
Ciara wanted to say thank you, and the fact that she is pretty proud she’s not ‘afraid of the ball anymore’:
Sharing the snap, Irene said:
“I just had to share it because it’s ridiculously cute and makes volunteering to coach kids much more worthwhile.”
Adorable!
Thanks to Irene Heavey for sending this our way!
