It’s not surprising that your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life.

From making that commitment to someone you love, to being surrounded by family and friends, the date is sure to twig some pretty strong emotions.

For one couple, Caleb Earwood and Maggie Earwood, their wedding photographer Dwayne Schmidth caught all that hope and nervous emotion and turned it into a viral sensation.

The picture is of U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Caleb Earwood and his new wife, Maggie, before their wedding ceremony Saturday. Caleb wanted to say a prayer with Maggie before they walked down the aisle. They closed their eyes and family members brought them together, making sure they never saw one another before the ceremony. The bride said she was shocked the picture had gone viral so quickly. The US Marine Corps told Today.com:

“We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn’t want to take a step without it being in God’s will.

“I prayed to God for my beautiful and intelligent wife that he blessed me with and the amazing family I was marrying into.”
The couple decided to pray together before tying the knot in North Carolina, but wanting to keep to tradition, remained hidden behind the wall.

While we’re big fans of looking through the smiling snaps of any wedding day, it feels special to capture that one moment of vulnerable excitement.

We’re pretty sure this is one couple who will last the test of time.
