For those who are shaking their heads in confusion, today just happens to mark a leap year – the rare occasion that comes once every four years and the date which suggests a woman can propose to a man in a twist of tradition that exists in Ireland and the UK. So in the wake of a series of unprecedented attacks almost ‘four years ago’ to the day, the Naas Garda district decided to warn single men of any ‘women who may approach them in a sinister fashion’.
