Having grown tired and frustrated by hateful messages about her ‘disgusting’ bump and being described as a ‘sausage in casing’, the expectant mother decided to take a stand.
In a Facebook post responding to the body shamers contacting her online, Katie writes:
"So this little manifesto of sorts is dedicated to every mother out there — other pregnant moms-to-be, moms reading this while their toddlers play on the swing set, moms whose kids have long since gone off to college...You are beautiful."
Her message has since gone viral – and it’s beautiful honesty is nothing short of admirable.
