‘Pic of the Day’ comes all the way from Kansas City and features First Lady, Michelle Obama.
In May, Michelle was captured speaking with a tour guide at Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka and the image is so powerful as it symbolises just how far the country has come in recent years.
Segregating school children was made illegal in 1954 thanks to a decision by the educational board and the ladies were captured standing under hanging signs “white” and “colored”.
