The majority of us are guilty of taking things for granted, and the Irish contingent living abroad will agree when we say, that you don’t realise just how great the ol’ emerald isle is, until you have left it for pastures a little less green.
This evening we thank astronaut, and all round legend, Chris Hadfield, for reminding us just how beautiful Ireland can be, with his latest breathtaking image posted online.
It seems the new ambassador for Irish tourism is doing a good job so far, after uploading this photograph captured at Malin Head, Co. Donegal, the most northerly point of the country and a part of ‘The Wild Atlantic Way’, the stretch of coastline that runs from the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal to Kinsale, Co. Cork.
As Hadfield says himself, it really is an unbeaten beauty.
A sunset like no other, unbeaten January beauty on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Like standing in a painting. pic.twitter.com/2YIqZ15Zj4

We’re sure the office of tourism are pretty happy with this. Keep up the great work, Chris.
