Fifty Shades of Grey has already sold millions of copies across the globe but it now looks like they’ve decided to branch out into wine and extend its appeal.
The official wine bears the novel’s name adorned with labels saying “You. Are. Mine.” – Classy.
At the moment, they’re available in two flavours; White Silk and Red Satin, we’re guessing to give them less of an S&M and more of an elegant feel.
So what do these wines taste like? Well if you’re in the mood for something light, White Silk (2012) sounds about right:
“White Silk is a blend of primarily Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was fermented cool, under 50 degrees F, and aged in stainless steel to preserve its delicate and rich character.”
Or if you’re in a darker mood, Red Satin (2009) is probably your best bet.
“This decadent blend has flavors of black cherry, cocoa powder, creamy caramel and vanilla, leather and clove spice” – yes, leather.
The bottles don’t come cheap though and will set you back $17.99.
