Say hello to “Spaghettieis”, ice cream that bears a shocking resemblance to spaghetti bolognaise.
Thankfully, the ice cream is flavoured with vanilla and not spaghetti. It’s drawn through a grinder or pasta maker to resemble spaghetti and then gets doused in a compote made of strawberry or raspberry.
Funnily enough the spaghetti-shaped treat has actually been around since the 1960s, and was created by Dario Fontenella, an Italian ice cream maker but because it was never patented it’s not readily available across Germany.
