Former Marine Jesse Cottle lost his legs while serving in Afghanistan in 2009.
He met Kelly at a swim meet in San Diego during recovery, where she was a swimmer for Boise State University and they married last year.
His wife Kelly often carries him places where his legs can’t such as the beach or pool and they think nothing of it.
While posing for a family portrait, photographer Sarah Ledford suggested they pose with Jesse on Kelly’s back.
Little did they know the photo would go viral…
