This letter will really brighten your day.
Ryan Suffern, an 8-year-old boy wrote one of the most selfless letters we’ve ever seen. The young lad sent an early plea to Santa Claus asking him if he could intervene and stop his twin sister from being bullied at school.
Here’s what the letter said:
Dear Santa,
My mom said to send you are Christmas list. I wanted a remot contror car and helicopter but I don’t want that anymor. Kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair because she doesn’t do anything to them and it makes me mad. I prayed that they will stop but god is busy and needs your help. It is against the rules to give gift early? Can you as Big Time Rush to come to Amber’s B-day party it will make her so happy. If you can’t get them to come but just get her everything she ask for.
Thanks Santa
Love Ryan
According to CNN, the young girl, Amber, was being teased on the bus and at school and their mother, Karen Suffern, admitted that she had found it tough reading the letter.
"I try to build up my daughter's self-esteem and tell her she is beautiful, but people say hurtful things to me, because I also have a weight problem, and that hurts me," she said.
"I can't imagine what she goes through.”
Karen told CNN that her daughter was an emotional eater and weighs 140 pounds, nearly twice the size of her brother, Ryan but said that her daughter never mentioned the bullying.
"Every day when she goes to school, she says, 'Mommy, can I just stay at home?' and she just doesn't want to go.' And now every time I send her to school, I feel like I am not protecting her and I am letting her down," Suffern said.
"If my kids don't call names and pick on others, I would expect other parents to teach their kids to be respectful, too," she continued.
"There have been times my kids would point at others and say, 'why is her hair so strange' and things like that, and I would say, 'You know, people are different, and that is just the way they are.'"
We were truly inspired by Ryan’s act of compassion.

I’m hoping to spend more time in Ireland this summer rather than heading abroad, and there’s one hotel I’m itching to visit […]

‘I’m a 35-year-old in HR, earning €26k, and this was my biggest financial mistake’
I’m a 35-year-old in HR, earning €26k, and this was my biggest financial mistake Let’s be honest, most of us are at least a little bit nosy when it comes to money. We want to know what other people are earning, how they’re actually getting by, and what their spending really looks like (not the […]
