Over 66 percent of the Irish population find this a turn-off in their partner

Would you agree?!

Nasty.

Foot fetishes might be a thing but they have yet to catch on in Ireland judging by the results of a new survey.

Considering that our feet don’t tend to see the light of day from September until the following May, it’s probably no surprise that we’re not exactly comfortable about putting them on show.

The research, conducted by Scholl, found that 66 percent of people living in Ireland dislike their partner’s feet, and find them a turn “off”.

Why do feet get such a bad reaction?

When it comes to men, the results showed that the worst offence is long nails and to be fair, I can see how that wouldn’t be too appealing.

For women, smelly feet is apparently what drives their partners mad, followed by cracked heels and “dodgy fake tan”.

Over 40 percent of those surveyed said that they stress about whether their feet have an “undetectable odour” that they’re completely unaware of.

Other statistics uncovered by the survey found that two-thirds of Irish people hate wearing shoes that show off their feet and do their best to avoid it.

One of the reasons for this is that they haven’t had time to pamper their feet with 34 percent saying they wished they had time to paint their toenails first.

Oh and just in case you thought the whole situation might improve as you get older, apparently it doesn’t with 80 percent of those surveyed saying feet do NOT improve with age.

Personally, I can’t see the big issue with feet, although smelly feet are not okay, under any circumstances.

What do you think? Are feet actually that bad?
