Have you ever been searching on Google, browsing those images, and wished you could click to buy straight away? Well the search engine has now announced its latest expansion – a special button that will let you shop online straight from your homepage. We fear for our credit cards already… Announcing the additional feature hitting your homepage, Google’s chief business officer, Omid Kordestani introduced the shopping option during a conference in California yesterday: “There’s going to be a buy button. It’s going to be imminent.” The new button will allow users to buy items on shopping adverts that will accompany each search results page, earning Google money from each sale. The feature, which will only be available through smartphone and tablet search, is expected to come into effect within weeks.
