On Home Ground: Her.ie Tries To Master Stunt Driving

In our brand new series, our resident sports fanatic Mary takes on some of Ireland’s top athletes to see if she has what it takes to compete with the best.

From chatting about their rigorous training programmes to taking us on to the pitch and right into the middle of the action, some of Ireland’s biggest names show Her.ie how it’s done.

Last week, we headed to Kilkenny, the home of hurling, to try our hand at camogie while this week we were down in Wicklow with Stunt Drive Ireland to learn all the tricks of the trade.

Mary says:

Anyone who knows me will know I absolutely love cars and anything to do with driving.

Getting the opportunity to head down and try out stunt car driving was too good a chance to pass up and I loved every second of it.

So much so, in fact, I think I’m going to have to do some courses on it in the coming months.

Getting to chat to Brendan Condren and the absolutely awesome 12-year-old Fionn Condren about what may just be the coolest job in the world made my day  week.
