In our brand new series, our resident sports fanatic Mary takes on some of Ireland’s top athletes to see if she has what it takes to compete with the best.
From chatting about their rigorous training programmes to taking us on to the pitch and right into the middle of the action, some of Ireland’s biggest names show Her.ie how it’s done.
Last week, we headed down to Wicklow with Stunt Drive Ireland to learn all the tricks of the trade, while this week, Dublin city became our playground for a spot of parkour.

Mary says:
When I was first asked to do Parkour I had to Google it.
I had a vague idea that it involved some type of jumping but after watching loads and loads of YouTube clips, I was terrified heading down to meet Traceuse Ireland for my training session.
I needn’t have worried though as coach Gillian McWilliams was extremely patient and a bit of a legend in her own right!
Not only was it a great workout, but Parkour is also great for the mind – a can do attitude goes a long way when you are jumping and swinging your way around Dublin City Centre.
Would I recommend it? In a heartbeat.
