New Notifications Tab Set To Make Things Easier For Facebook Users

Facebook are rolling out a new and improved notifications tab in the US this week in a bid to help people to keep more up-to-date with friends and family. The expanded tab will allow users to record and customize milestones like birthdays and life events, sports scores and TV reminders along with upcoming events that they may have joined. Other information can be added based on where you are by enabling the Location History to include things happening in your community, weather updates, movies that are screening in cinemas nearby along with a list of nearby places to eat. Don’t worry though, if there’s something you’re not happy with, you can adjust the settings at any stage, and customize the information. The new update was announced by Facebook’s Product Manager Keith Peiris in a post on Monday and while the update is currently only in the US, it will probably be on its way to Europe in the coming months.
